Chennai Spice – Dosa Festival

II am a HUGE fan of dosa – but had no idea there could be SO MANY VARIETIES! I was truly excited to hear that Chennai Spice was hosting a weeklong dosa festival. I took my friends, family and may have visited 3 times during that week. Traditional dosa is a vegetarian’s dream – a savoury crispy crepe made of lentil flour, stuffed with masala potatoes with coconut chunteys and sambar (spicy lentil soup) on the side. During Dosa Fest, I was able to appease my carnivorous side with lamb options. If you missed it, I am hoping this becomes a regular event. I would recommend the CS Deluxe Mutton Dosa – which is essentially a South Indian take on burritos…but with minced lamb. I am excited to go back and test their hakka (indo-chinese) menu items next! Staff were very accommodating also. Please bring back the festival soon!
