Nestled in the heart of Chinatown – this is one of my favourite go-to’s. Affordable, great for group/team events with round dim sum tables for socializing, this unassuming restaurant serves the best Salt & Pepper Squid in the city. Hands down. Served piping hot, the plate is loaded with perfect cuboids of calamari, tossed in thinly sliced red & green peppers, onions and chili flakes. For a group of three, I usually order #41 – Salt & Pepper Squid ($14), #63 Sizzling Shredded Beef with Black Pepper Sauce Hot Plate ($13), any veggie dish, steamed rice and chili oil on the side. Anticipate leftovers! This time we tried #15 – Sliced Beef Chow Funn ($10) instead of rice, and though a little on the greasy side, the flavor was great. Also anticipate a food coma at your desk after this meal. :p Enjoy!
